Newt Gingrich made an unlikely comparison on Tuesday’s edition of CNN’s Crossfire – between Hillary Clinton and of all people – reality star Kim Kardashian.
“You have to understand the problem Bill has. Bill is to politics what Fred Astaire is to dancing, he is just automatically amazing and he wants to have Ginger Rogers out there dancing. Instead [with Hillary Clinton] it’s a little bit like watching Kim Kardashian get kicked off the stage by Prince because she couldn’t dance. I think there’s a big problem, because I don’t think, as a candidate, that [Hillary] dances very well.”
Gingrich’s remark about Kardashian pertained to a February 2011 incident in Madison Square Garden when rock star Prince called Kardashian onto his stage but when the reality star didn’t/couldn’t/wouldn’t dance Prince booted her off, yelling, “Get off the stage!”
